What's new this week at The Little Red Hen!

We've been busy this week here at The Little Red Hen. Tourists are making their way into town and we're finally starting to get some nice weather! Spring is in full bloom for us and we have some great finds that are new to the store this week!


  • Lasting Lite Electric Candles: Alternative to a open flame, these flameless candles fit great in any room or decor. Candle Sleeve fits onto an electric base. (6"x x4")

  • Our very own Private Label Salsas, Jalapeno Jams, and Dips have arrived! New and fresh for summer-- try all of our great salsas; Peach Pineapple, Mango Peach Tequila, or Black Bean. Great for any BBQ or get together try our Jalapeno jams: Raspberry Jalapeno, Sweet Pepper Jalapeno, and Pineapple Mandarin. Easy dips and soup starters will make evening meals a cinch: Veggie, Chili, Pomodoro, Dill and Spinach, and everybody's favorite Bacon.

    Easy Recipe for Raspberry Jalapeno Jam:
    As a baste:
  1. Spread over chicken breast or game hens and bake 45 minutes at 350'F

  2. Spoon over beef brisket [5 to 7lbs.]. Cover with foil and bake 300' F for 4 hours. Next, remove foil and baste with sauce juices. Bake an additional hour at 350'F. Serve. [DELICIOUS!)


As an hors d'oeuvre--

  1. Spoon over cream cheese and serve with crackers.

  2. Spoon over Brie cheese and bake 15 minutes at 425'F. Serve with crackers.
